I did Katy’s maternity session in June, right before some serious home renovations and vacation time. Not to mention right in the middle of wedding season! Even though it’s a little late, I just couldn’t pass up on blogging this really sweet session. June is pretty dang hot in Texas, but we went with the evening light, and I am SO glad we did. It couldn’t have been more gorgeous.
Katy is honestly one of those naturally gorgeous and super photogenic people. Especially for being eight months pregnant! She really had that pregnancy glow, and I promise it all isn’t all the Texas golden light. I am so glad that she brought her family along with her for the session. It is so awesome to see that this baby was going to have some really incredible older siblings!
Now here is the funny part. Katy wanted me to do her birth story, but I was leaving town within a few days and wouldn’t be back until right before her baby was born. And she told me that she usually has them a little early, so I knew the odds weren’t good that I would make it back in time.
Katy texted me the next day to let me know that she was in labor and was heading to the hospital! This baby must have really wanted me to be there, because she was coming at 36 1/2 weeks! But that is a story for another post when I blog about Baby Brielle’s sweet entrance into the world! Stay tuned!
