Lubbock Fall Family Mini Sessions: Part 2 of 2

This post covers the second part to my Lubbock Fall Family Mini sessions of 2012. I want to take the time to thank each of my clients for the time and opportunity that I have to get to know their families on such a personal level. Once a client, always a friend.

The Oler Sisters

I was surprised when Jen called me to book this mini session, just for her girls instead of the entire family. I have just one sister, and I cherish the pictures we have together… so I was happy to give them a session with just the two of them. They are such sweet girls! They are lucky to have each other!

The Evans Family

Little Caleb is my Aiden’s best friend. After we got their Christmas Card in the mail, I put it on the fridge, and Aiden would ask for Caleb all day as he saw his picture. This family is so sweet, and definitely one of my favorites.

The Hansen Family

When Alexa told me they wanted to do a mini session, I was so thrilled that they wanted to take couple pictures.  I was even more excited when she told me that she wanted to use them to announce her pregnancy for their Christmas cards! She made this amazing banner that said “We’re pregnant!” and it was a perfect complement to the session. Alexa & Chase are going to make incredible parents!

The Kim Family

The Kim family was one of my last-minute sessions, and it is interesting to see how quickly the scenery changed with the weather. Even though the location we shot at wasn’t as “alive” as earlier, I still love the look we achieved. Bora & Kevin are from South Korea, and their family speaks Korean. I like to consider myself able to get smiles out of any child, but I had to try my hardest for these little ones.. and still came up short. On the funny side, the only way we got Olivia to smile was to sing and dance “Gangham Style”. Since it is a Korean song, I got a little insight into the meaning, and we all had a good laugh.

The Bludorn Family

Johnathan & Casi are my favorite returning clients! You can see their session from last year here. We did last year’s shoot on campus at TTU, and I love that we did something totally different this year. Everything was more casual and “earthy”. I just love working with them! I hope that next year they will have a baby to add to their photos! ;) (JK, Casi!)

The Cowles Family

Love. Love. Love! That is how I feel about Brooke & Steve’s session. They are so open and fun and beautiful. It doesn’t help that they are two of my very favorite people. Brooke is a dancer, and it came out in all of their poses. (Notice beautiful posture, and pointed toes!). Steve is the most kid-friendly person person I have ever met. He has such a fun loving personality! Brooke wanted to use Christmas lights, and I thought it was a fun addition to the session. We could have timed it to be darker, so they were lit up… but we were both happy with the result. I love this couple!

The Reddick Family

Jake & Andrea were our very first friends in Lubbock. I honestly feel like they did so much to make our transition that much easier. Baby Jude joined their family this summer, and I love to see how much he grows! We had a beautiful day for their shoot, and it doesn’t hurt that they are all so amazingly photogenic!

The Hill Family

The Hills were my very last mini session of the year, and I was ready to end the season. It is amazing to look back through all of the sessions, and see how each one is unique in their own way, regardless of the fact that they were {mostly} done at the same location. Even though the location is not as “alive” as earlier, it just proves that the family makes the picture. They are another photogenic family, and I loved the opportunity to get to know them on a more personal level.
